for a new experience)! Using straight seams, turn two contrasting
fabrics into an interesting pattern while learning to use
contemporary quilting tools and methods. The blocks created can
easily be converted to a quilt of any size – you simply make

Your serger is a great tool but you need to know how it works.
In this workshop we cover use and care of a serger, threading, tension
adjustment and serger sewing techniques! No one ever leaves this class
without saying it was time well spent!

DECORATIVE SERGING

We achieve decorative effects with a serger by manipulating the
tensions and using different threads. The ‘rolled edge’ and
“flat lock” stitches will be covered.
Register early, space is limited and this class may not be offered
again for awhile.

Sewing Classes
BASIC SEWING
Tuesdays, July 6 – 27

This class is planned for adults with little or no sewing experience or who have not
sewn for awhile and need a “refresher course”. The course is designed to evaluate your
sewing skills and adapt a project accordingly. The projects suggested are designed to
achieve a finished garment or project without creating too much stress.

“Using the Endless Hoop”
Many requests have been received for this topic. A requirement is that you have an
endless hoop which works only on a Designer or later model machine. Other brands may
have a different name for this hoop, i.e. “Border hoop”. If you don’t have an endless
hoop but would like to order one, let us know.
